The impeller fails on the water, not in the marina.
Seaworthy reminds you before it does.
Seaworthy is a boat maintenance logbook for iPhone and iPad. Photograph a part on board, the app recognises it on the device, reads labels and expiry dates and creates the entry for you. Set the service interval once, by date or engine hours, and Seaworthy reminds you 60, 30 or 7 days ahead.
Free to download. One boat and five items free, Seaworthy Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, no subscription.

The problem every boat owner knows
Dozens of parts, filters, fluids and expiry dates. One memory.
-
The service date lives in your head
When was the impeller changed, when the gear oil? The answer is in a notebook at home, in a spreadsheet or nowhere at all.
-
Expiry dates you only see too late
Flares, fire extinguishers, life-jacket cartridges and first-aid kits expire quietly. Usually you notice at the safety check or when you need them.
-
Serial numbers under a sticker in the bilge
The model number of the bilge pump is on a label you can barely read. You need it exactly when you are at the chandlery.
-
Engine hours, not calendar weeks
Many services are due after 100 engine hours or 12 months, whichever comes first. A normal reminder app knows neither.
-
No idea what the boat really costs
Receipts for oil, anodes and antifouling are scattered. At the end of the season nobody knows what was spent on what.
How Seaworthy solves it
Photo in, logbook entry out.
Seaworthy turns a photo of any part on board into a maintenance entry. Text recognition reads labels, serial numbers and expiry dates, image recognition sorts the part into one of ten categories such as engine, rigging or safety. Everything runs on your iPhone or iPad, nothing is uploaded.
- 1
Snap a photo
Point the camera at the part or pick a photo from your library. Seaworthy proposes title, category, description, serial and model number and expiry date.
- 2
Set the interval
By calendar, by engine hours (for example 100 h or 12 months), at season start or as a one-off date. Choose lead days and the time of day for the reminder.
- 3
Get reminded, tick it off
The reminder arrives before the service is due. Mark it done or snooze it one week right from the notification, the logbook entry is written automatically.
Your first entry takes one photo.

Features
Everything on board, in one logbook.
01 / 07
Recognised on the device
Seaworthy reads text and barcodes with Apple Vision and classifies the part with an image model that runs on the iPhone. With Seaworthy Pro, Apple Intelligence also suggests a title and a sensible service interval on supported devices. Nothing is guessed: if a part is not recognised, you enter it by hand.
02 / 07
Reminders with lead time
Every task gets its own lead days, for example 60, 30 and 7 days for safety equipment, and its own time of day. Mark a task done or snooze it by one week directly in the notification, without opening the app.
03 / 07
Engine hours count
Record engine hours per boat. Tasks can be due after a number of hours or after months, whichever comes first, so the oil change follows how much you actually ran the engine.
04 / 07
Several boats, one overview
Keep master data per boat: type, manufacturer, model, year, home marina, HIN, length, draft and engine hours. A starter maintenance plan per boat type gets you going, and a work order per boat goes to the yard as a PDF.
05 / 07
A logbook you can search
Every completed service lands in the logbook, across all boats. Search the full text including text read from photos, filter by period and category, and add manual entries. With Seaworthy Pro, export the maintenance book as a PDF.
06 / 07
Know what the boat costs
Record the cost of every service. Seaworthy totals the spending per period and per currency, so you can plan the next season with real numbers.
07 / 07
On the Lock Screen, the wrist and with Siri
Widgets for the Home and Lock Screen and a Live Activity show what is due next. The Apple Watch app lists upcoming tasks, and Siri answers "Upcoming maintenance".

FAQ
Common questions
What is Seaworthy?
Seaworthy is a boat maintenance logbook for iPhone and iPad. You photograph a part, the app recognises it on the device and creates an entry, and it reminds you before a service or expiry date is due.
Are my photos uploaded somewhere?
No. Text recognition, image recognition and suggestions run on your device. DigitalFreedom, the publisher of Seaworthy, receives neither your photos nor your logbook. If you are signed in to iCloud, your data syncs through your own private iCloud.
Do I need an account?
No. Seaworthy has no account, no sign-in and no server-side profile. Install the app and start.
Does Seaworthy work without internet?
Yes. Capturing, recognising, reminders and the logbook work offline on board. Only the optional Pro recognition model is downloaded once over the internet, and iCloud sync catches up when you are back online.
Can I plan maintenance by engine hours?
Yes. Tasks can be due after a number of engine hours, after a calendar interval (for example 100 h or 12 months), at season start or on a fixed date.
What is free and what does Seaworthy Pro add?
The free version covers one boat and five maintenance items with recognition, reminders and the logbook. Seaworthy Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks unlimited boats and items, Apple Intelligence suggestions for title and interval, the optional Pro recognition model and the PDF maintenance book.
Which devices does Seaworthy run on?
Seaworthy runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or later and includes an Apple Watch app for upcoming tasks. The Apple Intelligence suggestions need a device that supports Apple Intelligence.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes. Seaworthy exports the complete logbook as a JSON file, and you can delete all data in the app at any time.
